Smart Test Bench Automation with Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 and a Modern HMI
In a joint project with HOERBIGER Wien GmbH, a leading provider of explosion protection systems, we developed a powerful test bench software that enables deflagration testing with various gases – modular, and intuitively operable.
Objective
The challenge was to create a flexible and future-proof software solution that reliably automates freely configurable test processes while meeting the highest standards of usability and user experience.
Our Solution
At the core of the development was a tailor-made automation software based on Beckhoff TwinCAT 3, complemented by a modern, responsive HMI. The system precisely controls gas mixture ratios, triggers ignition sequences, and ensures seamless documentation of the entire testing process.
